Requirements June 1972 until January 1975
1. Grow a patch of corn not less than 300 square feet, if planted to a standard variety. A smaller plot may be used if experimental. (Speak to your counselor before planting.)
2. Keep a record of costs, hours of work, type of seed, and yield.
3. Have your corn patch inspected at least once by your counselor.
4. Show your records and samples of crop. Describe modern ways to farm.
This merit badge may be earned as a 4-H'er by completing a club project in that subject or as an FFA member by meeting these requirements through the FFA supervised farming program.
