Requirements April 1932 until October 1936
1. Ride a bicycle ten miles per day, six days in the week for a period of three months. This may include riding to and from school or work. He shall keep a record of his rides daily, preferably in his diary, a transcript to be made and exhibited before the Court of Honor.
2. Ride 25 consecutive miles on each of two days in each month for a period of three months, in other words, six rides of 25 miles each during the three months.
3. Ride a bicycle 50 miles in ten hours.
4. Repair a puncture.
5. Take apart and clean a bicycle and put it together again properly.
6. Know and demonstrate safety precautions on the road.
7. Demonstrate how to make reports if sent out scouting on a road; and report correctly verbal messages.
8. Read and follow a course laid out on a map.
